Mackay
Mackay is the largest town in the Whitsundays region and it is an excellent base for visiting the national parks nearby. Eungella National Park and Cape Hillsborough National Park are the two most popular ones. In addition to being a hub, Mackay itself is a great place for relaxation and good beaches are just at the doorstep.
