If you fly down from the north to south, sometimes your pilot may inform you of a place called Flinders Ranges. “Attention passengers, Flinders Ranges can be seen at your left hand side. You might be able to see the Wilpena Pound as well.” If you have never heard of Flinders Ranges before, you do now. Wilpena Pound, an awesome natural feature in Flinders Ranges, is a huge circular basin you can venture into. But flying over it is probably the only way to fully appreciate this great formation with external wall of 500m high.
